Just a "Little" January

Friday, January 1 - Sunday, January 31

Friday, January 1- Monday, January 4

This post is going to be a "hurry up and catch up" one. Not only did the year start out with a bang; but the days just seemed to fly by so we've decided to make a picture book of January and February. So hang on, and picture what we did!

Bread, Bread and More Bread Days! Each Christmas we try to share bread with family and friends; but because of our adventure with Snowball Express, we never seemed to get as many loaves done as we needed; so Jim became a full-time baker to get these gifts done! Better late than never, right?

Have I mentioned that I love to take pictures of our church group! What I wouldn't give for just half of the musical talent these folks have!

On Monday the 4th, we went to the post office to mail out 11 loaves. While there, we saw Maddey and Jarhett. She was trying to mail Jon his computer so Jim and I got to enjoy some Jarhett time.

Friday, January 8 - Sunday, January 10

Our last Christmas of 2015 actually took place on this weekend in 2016. What a special one it was, too, since we had a new family member, Kaiden who is being adopted by Leah and Ryan. To round out the party, John, Carol, Randi, and Nick brought our great grandsons, Rhett and Bowman. What a time we had!

Friday Night Games with Friends!
Happy Birthday the 22nd to our daughter Leah Renee' & our daughter-in-law Kelly!

Saturday, January 23

Before heading to Terrell to meet Leah, Ryan, and Kaiden to celebrate Leah's birthday, we joined members of the church in saying Happy 80th to Bob Tapley.

Because the adoption of Kaiden is not final, we are not allowed to show his face so we try to think of creative ways to include him.

A random act of kindness occurred while we were checking out at Walmart. The lady behind us in line presented us with this scrubber she had made. It works fabulously!

Monday, January 25- Saturday January 30

We received word that our dear friend Addie had been rushed to Tyler to the hospital. Things did not look good at that moment.

A few random shots of me...
